God will provide!
A while back, I was stressing about how I‘m going to get back to Bloemfontein after the holiday. I didn’t have food, I didn’t have winter cloths, I seriously had a list of things I needed. One morning my mom told me that I should just write down all the things I needed and pray. I got a word from God in the book of Joel, where God says to His people that He will provide. Two days went by and I still doubted. I kept on reminding God that He promised that He will provide. That same night, I went along with my parents to their church service and the pastor called me forward and said that the church had raised an offering for all my needs! Something I never expected. God works in ways no man can imagine!

Last week we went to Hazyview for a wedding. On our way back to Bloemfontein, we went to the Kruger National Park and I asked God if we could see 10 Breasted Roller Birds. God was so good that we actually saw 10 of them!!! Ask and you shall receive.

At my school there is a lot of building and renovations going on. As a result, the small soccer goalposts were standing loose on the playground. The children were warned not to play on them but did so anyway and just in the moment when everyone’s back was turned, three little girls of about 7yrs old swung from the top bar like a jungle gym and ended up tipping the whole thing over. I heard children screaming my name and saying, ‘LyLy has blood!’ This one little girl had not been able to jump out of the way like the others and the top bar had hit her on the forehead. There was blood everywhere and a huge lump and deep gash on her forehead. I was left alone with her for a few minutes and I just prayed, ‘Jesus, let there be no internal swelling or haemorrhaging or concussion.’ I prayed for peace in her mind and body and kept saying the name of Jesus. An amazing calm came over me and I just knew she was going to be okay. This happened the Thursday and the next week Monday she was back at school. She had a few stiches, but is otherwise in perfect health. God is so good!!
