Somewhere in the beginning of 2017, I had a day word which said “Invest”, followed by a certain amount. Investing is a passion of mine, but when I read my day word I was unsure of what to do because it was rather vague. Later that day as I scrolled through the news, I saw that one of the banks had gone through some media speculation. When this happens, share prices drop, which is a good sign for investors. Because of this, I immediately felt that this is actually what the day word was about. With much relief and faith I invested the money. That specific share now boasts more than 70% profit. I can only look back and praise God for His guidance over my life in something like this. I just see how God was urging me to trust in Him as my Provider, not just in the miraculous provision, but in Him leading me in business decisions. He wants us to have an impact and lead/direct decisions in the market place, and I believe that “small” moments like these lead to our lives being a huge platform for His glory.

During one staff meeting, Pastor Cornelis reminded us, as full time staff, of the scripture in Acts where “they gathered in worship… and the Holy Spirit said...”. While taking the washing off the line before the next meeting started, I prayed intensely, asking God for a miracle in the meetings that we can truly walk out there saying “the Holy Spirit said…”. In the next meeting a suggestion came up to restructure and immediately I saw ten potential problems with that. I chose to not say anything at that time and asked God what the solution to these problems were. One by one as I thought of a problem, I kept choosing to keep quiet and ask for a solution. The meeting ended so well: solutions, excitement for the change coming and all were on board. It was awesome to see the difference in myself that my choices steered me in.

In this new season of my life, I experienced that I should get more into God’s Word. However, I realised what a great privilege I have to have studied so much Word syllabi at Creare already. So, I set a challenge for myself. I prayed and asked the Holy Spirit to be with me as I started this new journey. I began writing down every Scripture I could remember. No Bible and no Word book. And as I started to write, the Holy Spirit led me into new revelations as I remembered some of the Scriptures in a certain sequence. After it all, I felt so, so close to God. And it really opened my eyes to see how much more Word I can learn and how much I already know.
