My day word was “Man in green needs My love.” The night before, I was lying on my bed and asked God for a word for this person. Immediately, a woman and four children came up in my heart, along with a word for her. The next afternoon, after we went to one of the schools, there was a woman who mentioned that she had four children. It was a great opportunity for God to minister to her.

When the year started, we received a new student in our Grade 2 class, she transferred to us from another school. We saw that she was struggling academically. Another teacher told us that a teacher at her old school told this little girl that she was too stupid to Math, she’ll never be able to do it. And this was in front of the whole class. So one morning when my colleague saw the fear in her eyes again, she took her outside to speak to her. She asked her if she still believes that horrible lie that the other teacher told her The girl broke down in tears, sobbing. My colleague ministered to her, imparted identity, prayed for her. It has been amazing to watch this girl blossom and grow throughout the year. When I look at her now, there’s no trace of the insecure, fearful girl who walked into our class that first day. Instead she is confident, at ease, and she is such a blessing. To top it all off, her Math marks are now all above 90%! Life and death is in the power of the tongue. As sons of God it is our responsibility to impart life, to use the power God has given us to restore and build up. Nothing is impossible with God! And to witness the miracle of someone’s life changing, is so rewarding.

In this new season of my life, I experienced that I should get more into God’s Word. However, I realised what a great privilege I have to have studied so much Word syllabi at Creare already. So, I set a challenge for myself. I prayed and asked the Holy Spirit to be with me as I started this new journey. I began writing down every Scripture I could remember. No Bible and no Word book. And as I started to write, the Holy Spirit led me into new revelations as I remembered some of the Scriptures in a certain sequence. After it all, I felt so, so close to God. And it really opened my eyes to see how much more Word I can learn and how much I already know.
