What is it we do

SALVATION?

• We receive Christ/Life when we are saved as sinners (Jn 1:12, 5:24, Rom 5:8) • salvation is a gift (Eph 2:8) and takes place by grace (Rom 3:23-24)
• Is to be saved by faith (Rom 5:1, 10:9-10) • we become a child of God (Rom 8:15-16, 15:17)

COVERING?

• Covering is spiritual protection under authority, e.g. a creeper plant will only grow to full potential when a pole is put into the ground to support the plant. It is strengthened while being connected and that connection brings covering / support

AUTHORITY?

• The level of authority we walk in, is determined by the degree to which we are submitted to authority; and developed by perspective, attitude and faithfulness

FIVE FOLD MINISTRY & FUNCTIONING OF GIFTS?

• Five fold ministry (Eph 4:11): these are 5 specific ministry functions which are there to govern and equip the body of Christ for their function
• Gifts (Ro 12: 4-8, 1 Cor 12): to continue the work of Jesus Christ on earth, the Holy Spirit will supernaturally empower us to do so

LORDSHIP?

• We are saved for a purpose, and that is to belong to, and live under the Lordship of Jesus Christ

Why we...

HAVE BREAKTHROUGH PRAISE & WORSHIP?

• To minister unto God by aligning ourselves prophetically to God's purposes and to enhance unity within the body by establishing a corporate anointing
• To declare the glory of God before unbelievers (Ps 108:3)

LIFT OUR HANDS?

• We surrender our heart to God; and we open up our lives to Him and open up to receive Him. (Neh 8:6, Ps 28:2, 63:4, 134:2, 1 Tim 2:8)

CLAP OUR HANDS?

• To praise and honour Him; and applaud God's greatness
• Ps 47:1, 98:8, Is. 55:12

DANCE?

• Is a sign of freedom; and a physical expression of what is in the heart
• Ex 15:20, 2 Sam 6:14-23, Ps 149:3, Eccl 3:1 & 4, Jer. 31:13, Luke 15:25
• Flags are symbolic of victory; a proclamation (Ex 17:15; Ps 20:5; Song of Sol 2:4; Jn 12:32)

PREACH THE WORD?

• To explain and teach the scriptures (Luke 24:27)
• "...faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ." NIV Rom 10:17; conception of faith must take place (Luke 8:11, 15; Heb 11:1)

PRAY IN TONGUES?

• It is a manifestation of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-4, Mark 16:17, 1 Cor 12:10)
• "For if I pray in an [unknown] tongue, my spirit [by the Holy Spirit within me] prays, but my mind is unproductive [it bears no fruit and helps nobody]." Amplified Bible 1 Cor 14:14
• We are commanded to pray at all times in the Spirit (Eph 6:18, Ju 20)

TEACH & TRAIN PEOPLE?

• To grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ (2 Pet 3:18)

GIVE TITHES & OFFERINGS?

• Tithing was installed before the law was given (Gen 14:18-20, Heb 7:1-21)
• Tithes are not seed, but offering is(Mal 3:8-12, Prov. 3:9-10, Deut 26:2-4)
• Tithes belong to God

ATTEND CELL GROUPS & SUNDAY SERVICES?

• To get to know other believers
• To motivate and encourage one another to grow spiritually and in the gifts and to become mature in Christ. "When you meet together, each one has a hymn, a teaching, a disclosure of special know- ledge or information, an utterance in a [strange] tongue, or an interpretation of it..." Amplified Bible 1 Cor 14:26
• It is a place to be disciplined, to be vulnerable and to be accountable (Acts 2:44-47)

HAVE A MULTI-CULTURAL FOCUS?

• To make disciples of all nations (Rev 28:18)
• "...a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne of the Lamb..." NIV Rev 7:9 (Is 66:18)

PRACTICE BAPTISM BY IMMERSION IN WATER?

• It is a testimony of being baptized in Christ and a pledge unto God for a clear conscience. (Acts 2:38, 40-41; 1 Pet. 3:20-21; Mt 28:19-20)
• After repentance (Acts 2), believing (Mk 16) and becoming a disciple (Mt 28), baptism is an act of obedience

SERVE?

• "... through love you should serve one another." Amplified Bible Gal 5:13
• We must do everything as to the Lord and not to men (Eph 6:6-8)
